We welcome visitors by appointment any time between 1st March and 31st October
We welcome visitors by appointment between 1st March and 31st October.
For those who have not tried naturism before we suggest a day visit. You will be encouraged to disrobe, but it will not be compulsory; we want you to feel relaxed so you can decide when the moment is right. You will likely see others who are naked. Mid week is much quieter than weekends but must be pre-booked to ensure entry. Contacting us last minute, on the day you wish to visit, is not recommended because there is no guarantee a member of our visitor team will be on site.
As well as day visits, we offer longer visits in your own tent, caravan or motor home, or a holiday in our club static caravan.
Remember to bring:
(1) I.D. for each adult visitor. (2) At least one towel each person! Naturist etiquette is that we do not sit on anything with our bare bottoms. Two towels can be a good idea - one to dry with, the other to sit on. (3) Refreshments - we have a kitchen but not a cafe! Our bar is usually only open from Friday evening to Sunday lunchtime.
Dogs, Cats, in fact any pets, are welcome so long as they are well behaved and in the care of considerate owners. Pets must remain on a lead at all times within the club grounds and their owners must clear up after them. We do not allow pets on the sunbathing lawn in front of the clubhouse, in any of the club buildings, nor in the club’s static caravan; this still leaves a lot of interesting walking areas for exploration.
Whether you come for a day or longer we ask for £6.00 per person per day temporary membership for each day of your visit. Children (those under age 18) are welcome free of charge but can only be admitted when accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
In addition, if you are bringing a tent there is a charge of £7 per night; for a tourer or motor home the charge is £8 per night. If you want an electrical hook up and one is available there is a further £4 hardstanding charge per day.
The static has a double bedroom, a bedroom with twin beds, and can also sleep 2 on the settee in the lounge, i.e. max 6 persons. The rent for this is £16 per night in addition to the temporary member payment above. It’s best to bring your own bedding but if you really want us to supply something we can do so at a charge of £20 per week. The Static Caravan has mains electricity and water, shower and toilet facilities, and LPG Gas supplying water heater, cooker and gas fire. There is a minimum rental period of two consecutive nights for the static caravan.
Society's attitudes towards naturism are slowly changing for the good but we are aware there are many who do not want others to know they are naturist, whether they be family, friends, neighbours, work colleagues, church congregation, etc. Equally, there are others who are happy for their inclination to be known.
Our practice here at YSS is simple. We assume everyone wants to remain anonymous and we take positive steps to make sure this happens. So, if you want to try naturism without anyone else knowing, YSS is a great place to start: no one else will find out unless YOU tell them! (The persons you can identify in our publicity material, including this website, have all specifically volunteered to take part; we didn't want to use professional models because we wanted to show you we are just ordinary people doing ordinary things - without clothes.)
Please make an appointment
We are not a commercial club and there are no employees permanently on site. Our entry gate is at one end of the club's grounds and the club house is at the other end. For these reasons, it is important visitors contact us before coming so we can make sure there is someone from our visitor team on site to let them in. Failure to do this will mean a long wait and frustration; it is club policy not to admit casual callers at the gate.
To arrange a visit please see our contacts page
We look forward to meeting you.
