We welcome visitors by appointment any time between 1st March and 31st October.
For those who have not tried naturism before we suggest a day visit. You will be encouraged to disrobe, but it will not be compulsory; we want you to feel relaxed so that you can decide when the moment is right. You will, obviously, see others who are naked. You can rest assured we won’t be telling anyone else about your visit.
For the experienced naturists we can offer a day visit, a longer visit in your own tent, caravan or motor home, or a holiday in our club static caravan.
Remember to bring a towel!
You need to bring a towel. Naturist etiquette, for reasons of hygiene, is that we do not sit on anything with our bare bottoms.
Dogs, Cats, in fact any pets, are welcome so long as they are well behaved and in the care of considerate owners. Pets must remain on a lead at all times within the club grounds and their owners must clear up after them. We do not allow pets on the sunbathing lawn in front of the clubhouse, in any of the club buildings, nor in the club’s static caravan; this still leaves a lot of interesting walking areas for exploration.
Whether you come for a day or longer we ask for £6.00 per person per day temporary membership for each day of your visit. Children (those under age 18) are welcome free of charge but can only be admitted when accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
In addition, if you are bringing a tent there is a charge of £7 per night; for a tourer or motor home the charge is £8 per night. If you want an electrical hook up and one is available there is a further £4 hardstanding charge per day.
The static has a double bedroom, a bedroom with twin beds, and can also sleep 2 on the settee in the lounge, i.e. max 6 persons. The rent for this is £16 per night in addition to the temporary member payment above. It’s best to bring your own bedding but if you really want us to supply something we can do so at a charge of £20 per week. The Static Caravan has mains electricity and water, shower and toilet facilities, and LPG Gas supplying water heater, cooker and gas fire. There is a minimum rental period of two consecutive nights for the static caravan.
Society's attitudes towards naturism are slowly changing for the good but we are aware there are many who do not want others to know they are naturist, whether they be family, friends, neighbours, work colleagues, church congregation, etc. Equally, there are others who are happy for their inclination to be known.
Our practice here at YSS is simple. We assume everyone wants to remain anonymous and we take positive steps to make sure this happens. So, if you want to try naturism without anyone else knowing, YSS is a great place to start: no one else will find out unless YOU tell them! (The persons you can identify in our publicity material, including this website, have all specifically volunteered to take part)
Please make an appointment
We only accept visits by prior arrangement. We don’t employ anyone so we must know in advance that you are coming so we can arrange for a member of our volunteer reception team to be here to meet you. Please try and let us know by 6pm on the Thursday before the Saturday or Sunday you plan to visit so that we can ensure that we have someone ready to let you in and show you around. It’s no good just turning up – we wouldn’t know you were there!
To arrange a visit please call 07501 174 108.
